Finally got to try the famous Carlo's Bake Shop. We tried the Cannolis and the Lobster Tails and I have to say they were absolutely delicious!!! I highly recommend tasting the yumminess! The pastry and shells of the cannolis were crispy/crunchy and the cream and powdered sugar was just enough sweetness. You should definitely check this place out.

Throwback storefront opens into bright, contemporary interior, where merchandise prominently shares space with cakes, cookies and assorted confectionery. Decidedly quiescent this afternoon, contrary to hype. No line to skip with our Hoboken ID. We went for strawberry shortcake, chocolate eclairs and lobster tails, all from merchandiser display. With aficionados waiting back home, we immediately went for the goodies after a five minute drive home. The shortcake was finger-licking good, lobster rolls lived up to hype, eclairs were regulation grade. There was a minor snag, though. The cake started losing structural integrity soon as the acetate collar was removed. Though we used a serrated cake knife, the cake collapsed completely after the first slice was removed. Not sure this is acceptable for a flagship store. Our self-styled cake boss should be held to a higher standard or cakes should come with care-for-next-five-minutes instructions. A lot of idle floor space was noticed between counter and door to back of house. With no episodes being canned, at least for last seven years, the management should be alert to realities. There’s a limit to leaning on past glory. Here is a miss

🚨🚨🚨 I FINALLY WENT TO CARLO’S BAKERY (CAKE BOSS) 😭🍰🚨🚨🚨 From a little girl watching Food Network to a grown woman actually walking through the doors… today was THAT day 🥹✨ I finally made it to Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, NJ — owned by the famous Cake Boss himself, Buddy Valastro. @buddyvalastro Y’all I was so hype pulling up 😂 It almost didn’t feel real. Seeing the original iconic sign that you always see on TV was such a full-circle moment for me. Parking? BABY… a struggle 😭 It’s in a busy downtown area right next to Whole Foods, so be prepared to circle the block a few times. But once you get inside, the vibes instantly change. The staff was super friendly, welcoming, and patient. They didn’t mind explaining menu items or giving recommendations. I ended up getting: 🤎 Cookie Butter Cannoli – SOOO good. Sweet, creamy, and perfectly filled. 🍓 Famous Strawberry Shortcake Cake – made with REAL strawberries layered throughout. Fresh, light, and honestly unforgettable. They even had menu items featuring the viral Mike’s Hot Honey, which I thought was super cool. And yes… they sell pizza and other Italian favorites too 👀 The prices honestly weren’t as bad as I expected. I even grab

We visited the Hoboken location as we have watched the show on tv and it didn’t disappoint! The staff was very friendly and helpful and everything was clean. We picked up some fresh cannolis, lobster tails, snickerdoodle cookies which were super fresh. We arrived shortly after the opened and on a Monday so it was very quiet and had plenty of seating. We did spend nearly $100 dollars in baked goods but it was so worth it!

Whenever heading into Hoboken, I always try something new during my adventures. Not saying this is the best bakery, but definitely one of the more popular ones that many Cake Boss fans tend to visit. Located on 95 Washington Street which is a stone throw from the Train station. I would imagine they get busy at times, but at 845 am on a Tuesday there were no lines at all. Lots of variety to choose from and ended up taking a canoli or two home. All in all, it was a good visit. Pretty sure id do some more research into other bakeries for future visits, but no regrets stopping in and checking them out. Im sure the cakes were equally as tasty but stuck with the canolies this visit. If a hole cake is to much, they do have sealed slices of cake for sale which would be a tasty treat.
